Last weekend I attended the FIBA Oceania Basketball Championship in Brisbane. The first game was a women's fixture (for direct Olympic qualification) between the Australian Opals and the New Zealand Tall Ferns. Here are some pics:

The Opals won the game and the series, giving them direct qualification for the London 2012 Olympic games.
Last weekend I was fortunate to see the Australian Women's Basketball Team, "The Opals" play against the Chinese Women's National Team at the Logan Metro Indoor Sports Centre, Queensland, Australia. July to September is traditionally international basketball season, and south east Queensland doesn't get too many opportunities to see a national team, so I'm glad to went to see the game.
