Hi all
Yep, it has just been one of my favourite times of year again - Noosa Triathlon time. Despite traffic jams causing my shuttle bus to be late, I had an enjoyable time and it was also great to catch up with Tim Mullaly from expressive bikes.com who was supporting Lewis Greenhalgh who was competing (rather than 'demo'ing'). Ok, some pics:
Women's winner for the second time, Ashleigh Gentle, at the swim exit (where I had been late)
Contemplation
Swim Exit, entering T1
Some of the many Smiling for Smiddy team members
Swim exit super-close-up
Liz Blatchford, who came a nice fourth only 2 weeks after the exhausting Kona Hawaii Ironman event
Australia's entire 2014 Commonwealth Games team of Ryan Bailie, Dan Wilson and Aaron Royle battle hard for 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Brad Kahlefeldt ("Sticksy")
Ashleigh Gentle heading for the win
Ultra talented Canadian triathlete Paula Findlay, on the comeback trail, and heading for 2nd place
Felicity Sheedy Ryan
Interesting nutrition / fuel source during the bike leg
Evergreen Markus Hanley, still completing at ~ 82 years of age, in the bike leg
Support - "Go Megan, So Proud of You"
Nice leap for the camera in the run leg
In closing, I just want to say a big thank you to this many people on the run leg who provided a wave, smile or thumbs-up. Brilliant work!
Here's my photo gallery on the 2014 Noosa Triathlon.
Thanks so much for looking.

Mooloolaba Men's ITU Triathlon World Cup 2014
Hi all
Following up on my previous post on the 2014 Mooloolaba Women's ITU Triathlon World Cup, here's my post on the 2014 Mooloolaba Men's ITU Triathlon World Cup also held on Saturday 15 March 2014.
Yep - the swim leg was again moved from the surf to the river due to heavy swell, so we witnessed evidence of some shallow water in parts of the swim leg. :)
Australian Olympian Brendan Sexton
Mateusz Kazmierczak exits the swim leg
Sven Riederer on his way to third place
Former Caloundra Enduro winner Jesse Featonby with the Coral Sea backdrop
Maximilian Schwetz, Jan Celustka, Vladimir Turbayevskiy
Aaron Royle, Laurent Vidal
Joao Silva
Simon Viain, Conor Murphy
Mikael Sahlberg shows the pain on a hot humid day
South Africa's Richard Murray on his way to second place
Irving Perez
The men's podium, including the winner, Spain's Mario Mola
Here's my photo gallery on the 2014 Mooloolaba Men's ITU Triathlon World Cup.

2014 Subaru Mooloolaba Women's ITU Triathlon World Cup - Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia
Hi all
On 15 March 2014 I enjoyed a great day at Super Saturday at the Mooloolaba Multi Sport Festival. This included both the men's and women's International Triathlon Union (ITU) Triathlon World Cup events featuring some of the world's most talented triathletes. Here are some pics from the 2104 Subaru Mooloolaba Women's ITU Triathlon World Cup.
Aussie Beijing Bronze Medalist Emma Moffatt
Sofie Hooghe (BEL)
Emma Moffatt negotiates a difficult downhill right hand corner
World Class duo of Kiwi Andrea Hewitt (L) and American Gwen Jorgensen
Possibly the first time I've seen a Croatian Triathlete at Mooloolaba - Daria Pletikapa
Japan's very talented and motivated Ai Ueda, who finished in third place
The only thing to beat USA's Gwen Jorgensen to the line was her shadow - great work by Gwen
The USA did well - the also took second place, thanks to Katie Hersey
Germany's Anja Knapp finishes full of running
Here's my portfolio gallery on the 2014 Subaru Mooloolaba Women's ITU Triathlon World Cup.
