QuikSilver & Roxy Pro Surfing 2015

Hi all

Last week I was lucky to have two opportunities to visit the 2015 Quiksilver Pro and Roxy Pro surfing, on the Wolrd Suf League tour, at Snapper Rocks, Coolanagatta, Gold Coast, Qld, AUS. The Quiksilver Pro was won by Brazilian teenager Filipe Toledo (sending the Brazlian fans into overdrive) and the Roxy Pro was won by Hawaiian Carissa Moore. Some pics:

Breaka Burleigh Pro Surfing 2013

Hi all

On Monday 4 February 2013 I was lucky enough to see some of the Breaka Burleigh Pro Surfing Competition at Burleigh Heads on Australia's Gold Coast. The event is Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) 6-Star Women’s and 4-Star Men’s rated. This year saw the welcome introduction of women's surfing to the event. Here are some pics:

Spectacular Surfing Action on a Beautiful Morning at Duranbah, Australia

Happy New Year everyone!

Last Thursday 12 January 2012 I enjoyed a super morning photographing surfing at Duranbah beach (which is at Tweed Heads, in northern New South Wales (NSW), adjacent to the Queensland / NSW border; at the southern end of The Gold Coast; Australia). Here are some pics from a beautiful morning with a strong south-easterly breeze blowing in:









For people using search terms like bodyboarding, boogieboarding, drop-knee and throw-tail :) :)




I had a bit of luck later in the shoot, too. I was finishing up and had just left the beach when, who did I see? None other than Dual World Surfing Champion Mick Fanning, just arriving! A short time later I was back into the swing of things, albeit from a bit further away. Here's a 'pic of Mick'!
