2015 Mooloolaba ITU Triathlon World Cup - Elite Men
Hi all
Following on from my recent blog post on the 2015 Mooloolaba ITU Triathlon World Cup - Elite Women, here's my post of pics on the 2015 Mooloolaba ITU Triathlon World Cup - Elite Men.
GO! - The Start
Aussie Peter Kerr first out of the water (the ocean :))
It was great to see David Hauss again. He has always been very competitive in Mooloolaba - not surprising since he almost medalled at the London Olympics. This time he went on to take his first Mooloolaba win.
Pablo Dapena Gonzalez
Tyler Mislawchuk
Australian Jacob Birtwhistle who did very well to take a podium place.
On to the bike leg, including this tricky downhill corner - Ron Darmon:
UxioAbuin Ares
Australian dual Olympian Courtney Atkinson who is on the comeback trail for Rio 2016. Perhaps it'll be tough for him given the quality of Ryan Bailie, Dan Wilson, Aaron Royle, Brendan Sexton and Jacob Birtwhistle, but good on Courtney for having a go.
Thomas Bishop
Alternate processing, 'pretty presets brown' - Jason Wilson
Jesse Featonby
Alternate processing, 'orange filter' - Cameron Good
Let's give the last word to deserved winner David Hauss
Here's my Smugmug photo gallery on the 2015 Mooloolaba ITU Triathlon World Cup - Elite Men: http://disci.smugmug.com/Sports/Triathlons/Mooloolaba-ITU-World-Cup-15/

Hi all
Last week I was lucky to have two opportunities to visit the 2015 Quiksilver Pro and Roxy Pro surfing, on the Wolrd Suf League tour, at Snapper Rocks, Coolanagatta, Gold Coast, Qld, AUS. The Quiksilver Pro was won by Brazilian teenager Filipe Toledo (sending the Brazlian fans into overdrive) and the Roxy Pro was won by Hawaiian Carissa Moore. Some pics:
During my quick first visit, Ricardo Christie
Now to my epic whole day second visit for the massive final day of competition on Friday 13 March.
Courtney Conlogue negotiates her way to the start point at Snapper Rocks
Aussie surfer Tyler Wright
Lakey Peterson
Aussie surfer from Coolum, Julian Wilson
Australian Bede Durbidge
Now to a thrilling final afternoon of semifinals and finals.
Julian Wilson
Miguel Pupo
Adriano de Souza
Aussie Stephanie Gilmore in the Roxy Pro final
Carissa Moore on her way to wining the Roxy Pro final
The crowd at the edge of the Pacific Ocean
Brazilian Filipe Toledo on his way to winning the 2015 Quiksilver Pro
Julian Wilson was gallant in the final
Exuberant Brazilian fans celebrate the 2015 Quiksilver Pro win by Filipe Toledo
Roxy Pro runner up Stephanie Gilmore pours beer on winner Carissa Moore
Thanks for getting this far with me. Please note there are two separate photo galleries:
The first 2015 Quiksilver Pro and Roxy Pro surfing gallery covers a brief Wednesday visit and then all of the morning surfing on the final day.
The second newer gallery: This is a new gallery covering the following matchups on the final afternoon of the competition: Miguel Pupo v Juilan Wilson, Adriano de Souza v Filipe Toledo, Carissa Moore v Stephanie Gilmore (Roxy Final), and Julian Wilson v Filipe Toledo (Quiksilver Final).
Thanks for looking!
